Villa Almond Taormina

Villa Almond Taormina
It is that time of year again when you start to plan your next holiday or break away.
Few places can match Taormina’s superb position perched high above the Ionian Sea.

The town oozes elegance and style created by a rich history surrounded by a stunning coastline with tempting beaches and crystal clear waters.

Beautiful Villas and Palazzos blend in with delightful narrow streets, small cafes, boutiques, fine restaurants and well kept gardens to create a relaxing environment.

Self-catering is becoming increasingly popular in Taormina and its surrounding area. A holiday in a private villa is a perfect way to experience Sicily.

Let me introduce you to Villa Almond.

Villa Almond is a newly built detached house boasting a year-round outdoor swimming pool. The house has breath taking views of the Eastern Sicilian coastline, the sparkling Ionian Sea, the Bay of Naxos and Mount Etna and has been welcoming guests since September 2016.

This charming property is situated in a delightful hillside position, the owner named the villa “Villa Almond” as it is surrounded by beautiful almond trees, also lemon and orange trees, olive trees, wild blueberries, prickly pear cactus and much flora and fauna.

The entire house is available for private rental and is a retreat that can be enjoyed by couples or friends and is a perfect location for a honeymoon or romantic getaway all year round.

A five to ten minute walk of the surrounding area on arrival is highly recommended to bring alive the sights, smells and atmosphere of the hillside.

Due to its hillside position the house benefits from a refreshing breeze even in the high season.

The villa is 130mq and sleeps up to four people but if there are any special requests this is not a problem.

There is an open plan kitchen and living room with a small bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen includes a dining table, stovetop, oven and refrigerator.

Your hosts on arrival are welcoming and pay attention to your needs during your stay.

On the first floor there are two beautifully decorated master bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a jacuzzi. The second floor attic has a bathroom with a walk in shower and a lounge area with flat screen TV for relaxation.

The villa is self-catering with towels and linen provided and also has air conditioning in the second floor attic, heating, a washing machine for laundry and free wifi. A cook is available on request.

You will find a private glistening swimming pool surrounded by a luxurious garden and terrace with an outdoor bar and barbecue and there are two tables seating six people in different areas for lunch and dinner. There is also a heated outside shower and sunbeds.

Views of Taormina and Castelmola
The owner has lovingly designed and decorated the villa with fine furnishing, lighting and artwork with subtle touches of handmade ceramics typical of Sicily creating a traditional Sicilian feel.

The nearby beach of Isola Bella is 1.6 km away and the beaches of Mazzaro, Giardini Naxos and Letojanni are nearby.

The nearest airport is Catania Fontanarosa which is 42km by car.

Car hire is recommended however airport transfers can be arranged on request. Local taxi services and private drivers are readily available.

Excursions such as Mount Etna with wine tasting and boat tours can be booked with pickup directly from Villa Almond.

I would highly recommend Villa Almond it really has the wow factor and is the kind of place that when you arrive you just sigh and say “This is just perfect”!!!!!!!!
